Investigating learners’ competencies for artificial intelligence education in an African K-12 setting

This study aimed to provide insight into the competencies required for students participate actively and thrive in artificial intelligence education K-12 context taking cognizance of ethical concerns. The problem is that AI new, we have not understood by understand effectively. Since research this area limited lacking African settings, focused on Nigerian factors support a proper grasp content context. A quantitative methodology approach was utilized with hardcopy survey administered secondary school students, which yielded 605 responses. It found cognitive, human-tool collaboration, self-learning, skill competence, ethics significantly influence AI. further revealed no moderating effect shown while mediating significant between cognitive competence Surprisingly, all propositions made show only relationship teamwork course supported. result suggests clear need activities promotes collaboration curriculum. study's findings contribute evidence significance learners’ understanding through provided. identified could guide development relevant teachers other practitioners. Besides, outcome can empower develop right needed navigate world
